About
Whether you are a reluctant reader, an avid reader, a fast reader, a slow reader, a lover of romance, science fiction, young adult, or middle-grade books, you've come to the right place! This blog is a place for readers of all kinds to come together and experience books. You can read recommendations and reviews, hear about upcoming books I'm excited about, and share your thoughts as well!
I started this blog as a way to collect my reviews and share my thoughts about the books I read. I'm an eclectic reader and I love to read just about anything. I review a lot of YA or middle-grade books because I love being able to recommend books to younger readers but I'll read whatever I can get my hands on!
My love for reading as always been cultivated by the adults in my life. My parents read to me as a young child and fostered reading as I grew older by taking us on trips to the library or buying us books at the bookstore. My teachers in school always encouraged me to keep reading and I have fond memories of a 4th-grade book club or 7th grade when I visited the library every single day during study hall. It makes sense that I would someday become an English teacher.
I currently teach 7th grade English and ESL at a junior high school. I love my job because I get to interact with young people on a daily basis. My kids always get me so excited to teach about reading and writing. I'm constantly on the lookout for amazing books that will inspire me and my students and turn them into lifelong readers.
My philosophy is that reading is for everyone--you just have to find the right book. Whether you prefer audio-books, graphic novels, e-readers, or non-fiction, if you're reading or listening to a great story, you're building a love of reading that will benefit your life!
I hope you'll explore the blog a little and check out some of the reviews that interest you! Find a book that sounds good and read it--then let me know what you think!
